AN ORDINANCE DETERMING THE NECESSITY FOR AND PROVIDING
FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING STREETS:
HOMES, CLEVELAND, SMITH, ELWOOD, TULSA AND WOODS, IN THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER
TO PREPARE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR, DIRECTING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, AND PROVIDING SUNDRY AND OTHER
MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
is of the opinion that the hereinafter mentioned portions of avenues, streets
and public places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas should be improved; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
It is hereby determined that it is necessary that the following
portions of avenues, streets and public places in the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas be improved, to-wit:
HOMES STREET: From Flood Street to approximately
300' North of Roosevelt Street

CLEVELAND STREET: From Woods Street. to Roosevelt Street
SMITH STREET: From Tulsa Street to Duncan Street
ELWOOD STREET: From Tulip Street to approximately
150' West of Gladiolus Street
TULSA STREET: From Smith Street to Redwood Street
WOODS STREET: From Smith Street to Redwood Street
II.
The City Engineer is hereby ordered and directed to prepare Plans
and Specifications for the improvement of the hereinabove described portions
of avenues, streets and public places as soon as practicable and to present
same to the Board of Aldermen.
In this connection, the City Engineer may provide in the afore-
mentioned.Plans and Specifications alternate types of improvements to be
constructed on all or a part of the above described portions of avenues,
streets and public places if he deems it advisable.

The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise for bids for the
making and construction of certain improvements in accordance with the afore-
mentioned Plans and Specifications therefor, which advertisement shall be
published once a week for two consecutive weeks prior to the time for letting
such contract, the date of the first publication to be at least ten (10) days
prior to the date set for letting said contract, the said publications to be
in some newspaper published in and of general circulation in the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately from
and after its passage.

Notice is hereby given that the governing body of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, has ordered and determined it to be necessary that
the following streets in the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas,

be improved and that a portion of the cost of such improvement is to be
specially assessed as a lien upon the property abutting thereon, and said
portions of streets in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas as follows:
