AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE ALLEY
THROUGH BLOCK 157 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND RESERVING
A UTILITY EASEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, deems it advisable and in the public interest
to close the alley hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS :
SECTION 1. That the one block long alley running north-
west and southeast, parallel to Farris Street, from the south-
east property line of Sixth Street to the west boundary line
of the Wichita Falls Baseball Association property, through
Block 157 of the Original Townsite of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2 . The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby
reserves an easement in the above said land for the purpose
of laying and maintaining all kinds and character of utility
lines, including water, gas, electric, telephone, telegraph,
and power lines and sanitary and storm sewers and drainage
ditches.
