AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 , ARTICLE II OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS BY ADDING DIVISION 10 CREATING A DEPART-
MENT OF PLANNING AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS , BY
ADDING DIVISION 11 CREATING A DEPARTMENT OF
WATER DEVELOPMENT, AND BY ADDING DIVISION 12
CREATING A GENERAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT. •
BE IT ORDAINED BY. THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT :
SECTION 1. Chapter 2 , Article II of the Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended by adding Division 10 , as
follows :
. "DIVISION 10 . PLANNING AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS
Sec . 2-89 . Department created; director.
There is hereby created a Department of Planning and
Industrial Relations , which shall be under the supervision
of the Director of Planning and Industrial Relations . Such
director shall be appointed by the City Manager, and shall be
directed by and responsible to such City Manager.
Sec . 2-90 . Duties generally.
The Director of Planning and Industrial Relations shall
be charged with the supervision of the Department of Planning
and Industrial Relations , and he shall also be the City ' s repre-
sentative and ambassador to all present and prospective industries . "
SECTION 2 . Chapter 2 , Article II of the Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended by adding Division 11, as follows :
"DIVISION 11. WATER DEVELOPMENT
Sec. 2-92 . Department created; director .
There is hereby created a Department of Water Develop-
ment, which shall be supervised by the Director of Water Develop-
ment. Such director shall be appointed by the City Manager,
and shall be directed by and responsible to such City Manager.
Sec. 2-93 . Duties generally.
The Director of Water Development shall have charge of
water supply, lakes, water purification and waste water treatment. "
SECTION 3. Chapter 2 , Article II of the Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended by adding Division 12 , as follows :
"DIVISION 12. GENERAL SERVICES -
Sec . 2-95 . Department created; director.

There is hereby created a Department of General Services
which shall be supervised by the Director of General Services,
who shall be appointed by the City Manager. The director shall
be directed by and responsible to said City Manager.
Sec. 2-96. Duties generally.
The Director of General Services shall have charge of
purchases, auditorium services, print shop, central stores,
building maintenance, central garage and the information center. "
