AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29-91, OF THE TRAFFIC
ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING MAXIMUM SPEED
ZONES ON CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGHWAYS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (N) of Section 29-91 of the Traffic
Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows :
" (N) Farm to Market 367.
(1) 40 MPH From intersection of North Beverly to
a point 2/10 mile north of North
Beverly.
(2) 45 MPH From a point 2/10 mile north of North
Beverly to a point 5/10 mile north
of North Beverly.
(3) 50 MPH From a point 5/10 mile north of North
Beverly to city limits line of City
of Wichita Falls. "
SECTION 2 . Paragraph (0) of Section 29-91 of the Traffic
Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls ,
Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows :
" (0) Fairway Boulevard.
(1) 40 MPH From Southwest Parkway (FM-369) to
Kell Boulevard.
(2) 45 MPH From Kell Boulevard to Seymour Highway
(US 82-277) . "
SECTION 3. Section 29-91 of the Traffic Ordinance of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls , Texas, is
hereby amended by the addition of the following paragraphs :
" (AB) Kemp Boulevard.
(1) 40 MPH From Kell Boulevard to Seymour Highway
(US 82-277) .
(AC) Windthorst Road.
(1) 35 MPH From East Scott (Business US 82-287)
to US - 287 Freeway. "
SECTION 4. The fact that certain of these changes reduce
the maximum speed zones on certain streets which could be

hazardous and there is an urgent need for adequate speed zones,
this ordinance is declared an emergency measure on the ground
of urgent public need for the preservation of the peace, health
and safety of public life and property of the City and said
ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
