BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Hereafter, no developer of a subdivision within the
City shall be required to donate or dedicate any park land in anyYqY
subdivision. However, before any plat and subdivision is approved,
the following requirements with reference to park lands shall be met.
Section 2. For each thirty single family units in a subdivision,
one acre of land small be reserved for park purposes , If the subdivi-
sion is of such size that the park site shall contain less than two
and one-half acres, such site should be located on the perimeter of the
subdivision so that the land may be integrated with park land from
other subdivisions.
Section 3. In a subdivision composed of duplexes and apartment
houses, one acre of land shall be reserved for park use for each one
hundred persons to be accomodated in such multiple dwelling units.
Section 4. In a subdivision having both single family dwellings
and multiple dwellings, one acre shall be reserved for park purposes
for each thirty single family units, and one acre shall be reserved
for each one hundred people to be accomodated in such multiple dwellings.
Section 5. The City shall have the option to purchase the land
so reserved for park purposes for a period of one year after the plat
of the subdivision is finally approved; the price to be paid by the
City to the developer shall be based on the fair market value of the
raw land, plus the pro rata part of all development cost attributable
to the park land so purchased, including abutting streets and utilities
necessary to serve the park land. The City shall have the option to
purchase all or any part of the land so reserved. In the event the
City does not exercise its option to purchase the land within the one

year period, the developer may develop such land in any way approved
by the Planning Board.
Section 6. Resolution No. 114 and Resolution No. 395 are hereby
repealed.
