WHEREAS, on February 18, 1964, the City of Wichita Falls lost
one of its most valuable and capable police officers ; and,
WHEREAS, due to his ten years or more of faithful and dedi-
cated service as a police officer in the protection of lives and
property the entire community was benefited and made a better place
in which to live; and,
WHEREAS, since September 1, 1956, W. A. "Bill" Capehart has
capably served as a lieutenant in the Police Department of the
City of Wichita Falls, endearing himself not only to the men with
whom he worked but to all who came in contact with him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
THAT the City of Wichita Falls does hereby recognize and ex-
press its appreciation for the dedicated services rendered not only
to the Police Department but to the entire community by Lieutenant
W. A. "Bill" Capehart, and does hereby express its deepest sympathy
to the family of Bill Capehart in their bereavement; and it is fur-
ther resolved that a copy of this resolution be delivered to Lieu-
tenant Capehart' s family.
