WHEREAS, Mrs. L. T. Burns has once again created a beautiful
Christmas display on the lawn of her home in Wichita Falls , a project
which has now become a Christmas tradition in our City since it was
instituted many years ago by Mrs . Burns and her late husband; and,
WHEREAS, this Christmas display, which is eagerly awaited each
year by children of all ages , constitutes a source of inspiration,
pleasure and Christmas spirit to tens of thousands of citizens of
Wichita Falls and surrounding areas .
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, that Mrs. L. T. Burns be highly commended
for her public-spirited generosity in providing this outstanding dis-
play for our citizens , and the Board of Aldermen expresses to her
the appreciation of the City of Wichita Falls .
