WHEREAS, it is deemed to be necessary to the best
interest of the City of Wichita Falls that certain public
improvements be provided, the same being the construction
of two fire stations and Weeks Park Clubhouse and Golf
Course improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the City is duly authorized under the provi.
sions of Chapter 163, Acts of the Regular Session of the
42nd Legislature of the State of Texas to issue time war-
rants in payment for the labor, material and supplies
used in the construction of such improvements .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WI CHI TA FALLS, TEXAS that it is
the intention of the Board of Aldermen to issue time war-
rants to pay for all or part of the above-named improve-
ments, such warrants not exceeding the principal sum of
One Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($170,000) , to bear
interest at a rate not exceeding 5 A)
percent ( per annum, and the maximum maturity
date to be not more than ten (10) years.
The City Clerk is directed to make these recitations
in the Notice to Bidders which will be published in ac-
cordance with the provisions of Chapter 163 , acts of the
Regular Session of the /.2nd Legislature of the State of
Texas .
