WHEREAS, the Capitol Improvements Steering Committee
has made an intensive and comprehensive study of the needs
of the City of Wichita Falls for capitol improvements,
and has made a report and recommendation to the Board of
Aldermen that a bond election be called to finance certain
capitol improvements; and,
WHEREAS, this Board of Aldermen has studied such
report and recommendations , and has received further sug-
gestions and recommendations from other interested citizens
of the City of Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, it is the opinicn of the Board of Aldermen
that an election should be called in the near future on
the question as to whether such a capitol improvements pro-
gram should be instituted and carried out.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER-
MEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS that this Board
of Aldermen intends to call a Capitol Improvements Bond
Issue Election, such election to be held on the 4th
day of June 1963, and at which election the
following improvements will be submitted to the voters:
Street improvements 2,153 300
Storm drainage
improvements 1,183,500
Traffic improvements 457,500
Park improvements 321,000
Memorial Auditorium
improvements 795,000
Library improvements 250,000
Police Station
improvements 750,000
Fire Station
improvements 250,000
Parking lots
improvements 95,000
Sanitary lend fill 125,000
Water system improve-
ments 525,900
