RESOLUTION NO. J
WHEREAS, an extensive survey and study has been made
of the Wichita Falls Police Department in comparison with
Police Departments of comparable cities in Texas , with the
purpose in mind of improving the efficiency and operation of
our Police Department; and
WHEREAS, as a result of this study, the Board of
Aldermen have cc; cIuded that a salary adjustment will increase
the efficiency of the department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF aDER-
MEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
That the City Manager of the City of Wichita Falls,
be, and he is hereby, authorized to increase the salaries
of the members of the Police Department up to the amounts
set out in the following wage scale:
MONTHLY BASE PAY
Chief 725.00
Captain 510.00
Lieutenant 460 .On
Sergeant 4.20. 00
Patrolman, beginning salary 34.5.00
Patrolman, top salary 365. 00
In addition to the above base pay, each of the above
will continue to be paid longevity pay as formerly; that i s,
5.00 per month for each year of service in the department
up to a maximum of $75.00 per month.
