WHEREAS, the State Highway Commission by Minute Order
No. 48338 dated September 27th, 1960, designated a Farm -to-
tlsarket Road extending frora F. M. 369 near Allendale South to
the Archer County Line near hake 'liehita and authorized con-
struction thereon subject to acceptance by Wichita County
agreeing to furnish all required right -of -way clear of obstruc-
tion, and,
WHEREAS, it has now come to light that the North end of
this designation is within the corporate limits of the City of
7,lichita Falls, Texas, and,
I.7IEREAS, designation and construction of the Farm -to-
Market Road as described above is considered to be a worthy
and desirable improvement.

This tender of a Farm -to Narket Road designation by the
State Highway Commission and the responsibility for the furnish-
ing all required right -of --way clear of obstructions within its
corporate limits be and are hereby accepted in cooperation with
Wichita County; that the State Highway Department be and is here-
by authorized to proceed with the construction and subsequent
maintenance of the above project within tine corporate limits
of said City.

nation is within the Corporate limits of the City of Wichita Falls;
and
WhEREAS, designation and construction of the Farm.-to-Market Road as
described above is considered to be a worthy and desirable improvement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS that this tender of a Farm-to-Market Road designation by the
State Highway Commission and the responsibility for the furnishing all
required right-of-way clear of obstructions within its corporate limits
be and are hereby accepted in cooperation with Wichita County; that the
State Highway Department be and is hereby authorized to proceed with
the constmotion and subsequent maintenance of the above project with-
in the corporate limits of said City; and that the Mayor, or proper
City Official2 of the City be and is hereby authorized to execute for
and in behalf of the City, a standard maintenance agreement with the
State Highway Department to establish the respective maintenance
responsibilities of each party.

Dear Mr, Griggs:
We hand you herewith copies of Highway Commission Minute
Order No. h8338, passed Septemo*r 21, 1966, which designates
a Fars to Market Road as is shown in red color on the attached
sketch. It appears that the north end of this designation
now is within the City .of Wichita Falls. 'Normally the City
furnishes the necessary right of tray within the city limits
and the county furnishes the rural right of fray. ':he minute,
is so written as to require acceptance by Wichita County
only. However, since this portion of the designation is
within the corporate limits it vi,'- be necessary for the city
to accept it also. The minute was accepters by Wichita
County within the 90 day liaitatior. a!� set forth in the
xd.nute.
For your convenience we are attachin,, hereto three copies
of a resolution which will be considered as an approval of
the Minute Order. Please return two copies of the executed
resolution if acceptable to your Ci;,y Council.
