IMEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is contemplating build-
ing a Dana on the Little Wichita River at a site commonly known
as the Halsell Site, and
ZTHER.EAS , the City of Archer City has permit no. 1545 for
the use of 300 acre feet of water annually from Carver Creek and
the Little Wichita River, and an additional diversion permit
no. 1884 for 2,200 acre feet of water, and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the City of Archer
City desire to cooperate in the division of public water that
may become available if the City of Wichita Falls builds a dam
across the Little Wichita River.
Naf 2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS-
THAT, in consideration of the fact that the City of Archer
City favors the granting of a permit to the City of Wichita Falls
authorizing the construction of such dam and reservoir, the City
of Wichita Falls recognizes Archer City's possible future need
of 2,500 acre feet of water per year and the City of Wichita Falls
has no objection to Archer City taking that amount of water per
year out of the South Fork of the Little Wichita River over to
Archer City's reservoir.
