AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR THE ORDERING
AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF AVENUES,
STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, DESIGNATED AS A PORTION OF THE 1968 ASSESSMENT
PAVING PROGRAM, DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR AND PROVIDING SUNDRY
OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
is of the opinion that the hereinafter mentioned portions of avenues, streets
and public places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas should be improved;
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS; THAT:
I.
It is hereby determined that it is necessary that the following
portions of avenues, streets and public places in the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas be improved, to-wit:
HUMPHREYS STREET: From the east property line of
Loop 165 to the west property
line of Rosewood Street.
HOMES STREET: From the north property line of Loop
165 to the north property line of
Welch Street.
REDWOOD STREET: From the south property line of
Bonner Street to the south property
line of Flood Street.
ROOSEVELT STREET: From the east property line of Rose-
wood Street to the east property line
of Neff Street.
CHANCE STREET: From the west property line of Neff
Street to the west property line of
Holland Street.
* VAN BUREN STREET: From the north property line of Collins
Street to the south property line of
Pearl Street.
* Those streets on which a petition has been received from abutting property
owners.
II.
The City Engineer is hereby ordered and directed to prepare Plans
and Specifications for the improvement of the hereinabove described portions
of avenues, streets and public places as soon as practicable and to present
same to the Board of Aldermen.

In this connection, the City Engineer may provide in the afore-
mentioned Plans and Specifications alternate types of improvements to be
constructed on all or a part of the above described portions of avenues,
streets and public places if he deems it advisable.
III.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect
immediately from and after its passage.

Notice is hereby given that the governing body of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, has ordered and determined it to be necessary that
the following streets in the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas,
be improved and that a portion of the cost of such improvement is to be
specially assessed as a lien upon the property abutting thereon, and said
portions of streets in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas as follows:
HUMPHREYS STREET: From the east property line of
Loop 165 to the west property
line of Rosewood Street.
HOMES STREET: From the north property line of
Loop 165 to the north property line
of Welch Street.
REDWOOD STREET: From the south property line of
Bonner Street to the south property
line of Flood Street.
