AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR THE ORDERING
AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF AVENUES,
STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, DESIGNATED AS A PORTION OF THE 1968 ASSESSMENT
PAVING PROGRAM, DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR, PROVIDING SUNDRY OTHER
MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO AND DELETING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF
AVENUES AND STREETS FROM THE 1968 ASSESSMENT PAVING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
is of the opinion that the hereinafter mentioned portions of avenues, streets
and public places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas should be improved;
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
I.
It is hereby determined that it is necessary that the following
portions of avenues, streets and public places in the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas be improved, to-wit:
ELWOOD STREET: From east property line of the
alley west of Gladiolus Street
to the east property line of the
alley east of Gladiolus Street:..
S.51 feet of a 93.3' x 140' tract
of land out of N.W. 1/4 of J.A. Scott
Survey No. 10, Abstract 302 recorded
in Vol 383, pg. 635 Wichita County
Deed Records.
Lot 14, Block 59, Original Townsite
Lot 1, Block 22, Scotland Addition
II.
The City Engineer is hereby ordered and directed to prepare Plans
and Specifications for the improvement of the hereinabove described portions
of avenues, streets and public places as soon as practicable and to present
same to the Board of Aldermen.
In this connection, the City Engineer may provide in the afore-
mentioned Plans and Specifications alternate types of improvements to be
constructed on all or a part of the above described portions of avenues,
streets and public places if he deems it advisable.
III.
It is hereby determined that the following portions of avenues
and streets adjacent to the following properties in the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, shall be deleted from the 1968 assessment paving program,
to-wit:
Lot 9, Block 2, Fellows Addition
Lot 14, Block 50, Original Townsite
Lot 1, Block 19, Scotland Addition
IV.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect
immediately from and after its passage.

specially assessed as a lien upon the property abutting thereon, and said
portions of streets in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas as follows:
