ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON TEN (10) UNITS OF
THE 1967 ASSESSMENT PAVING PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS DESIGNATED IN ORDINANCE NO.
2304 AND NO. 2314; DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH ASPHALT
PAVERS, INC. , FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS
FULLY COMPLETED AND PERFORMED: DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE,
EXECUTION, AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY
CREDITS HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF
SAID ASSESSMENTS: DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ENGROSS
AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME
IN THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND BY FILING THE COMPLETE ORDINANCE
IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITY: AND PROVID-
ING AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has heretofore entered
into a contract with Asphalt Pavers, Inc. , Wichita Falls, Texas, for the
making and construction of certain street improvements on the hereinafter
described portions of streets avenues and public places in the City to--wit:
LAKE STREET: From the south property line of
Bonner Street to the north property
line of Loop 1.65.
NEFF STREET: From the north property line of Flood
Street to the south property line of
Tulsa Street.
REDWOOD AVENUE: From the north property line of Flood
Street to the south property line of
Roosevelt Street.
ROOSEVELT STREET: From the east property line of Tulip
Street to the west property line of
Rosewood Street.
SEVENTEENTH STREET: From the west property line of Austin
Street to the east property line of
Burnett Street.
SEVENTEENTH STREET: From the east property line of Austin
Street to the west property line of
Travis Street.
TULSA STREET: From the west property line of Holland
Street to the east property line of
Holland Street.
WALNUT STREET: From the east property line of East
Scott to the west property line of
Mississippi Street.

WHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, including Ordinance No. 2327
a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and assessed against
the respective properties abutting on each of the above assessed portions
of streets, avenues and public places and against the real and true owners
thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
has upon review, found and determined that, in some instances, in order to
effect substantial justice and equality, it is desirable and necessary to
grant and issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments
levied by Ordinance No. 2327 and,
WHEREAS, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been
completed upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places
hereinabove described, and have been inspected and found to be in complete
accordance with the contract therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:

The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and
public places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and
the contract with reference thereto be, and is hereby, found and declared
fully completed and performed,
II.
The assessments as levied by Ordinance No. 2327 shall be computed
for each property owner and the same together with the Engineer's Roll of
. Ten (10) streets of the thirty-one locations herein accepted shall be de-
livered to the Tax Assessor-Collector, and he shall prepare statements
which shall be sent to the property owners.
III.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to engross and enroll this Ord-
inance by copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and by filing the complete
ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City,
IV.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
