RESOLUTION NO. 7/6
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls deems it necessary for the elimination of grade-level
crossings by railroad lines of the streets of the City along
the proposed Kell Freeway and for the relocation of such
railroad lines within the City, so that the hazards to life
and property will be decreased, public safety and convenience
will be promoted, traffic conditions will be improved and the
orderly development of the City will be encouraged;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Board of Aldermen intend to proceed under Article
1105c of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas to relocate such
railroad lines along the proposed Kell Freeway, at such time
as a contract is entered into with the Texas Highway Department
for construction of such Kell Freeway facility.
