BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The provisions of Minute No. 59159, passed by the Texas
Highway Commission on April 27th, 1967 , are acceptable to the
City of Wichita Falls. It is hereby ordered that the City of
Wichita Falls co-operate with the State Highway Department and
proceed with the obligations so stipulated in said Minute Order
as being responsibilities of the City.

BIERICAS, in WICHITA COUNTY in accordance with the Wichita Falls Urban Transpor-
tation Study and at the request of the City of Wichita Palls, Minute Order 541021
was passed on June 30, 1966, which outlined the future development of tell Boule-
vard as a part of the Highway System; and
HURRIES, the Urban Transportation Study indicates the need for a counectien from
the end of the Kell Boulevard route to State Highway 240; and
WHINIAS, the City of Wichita Falls has requested that such a connection be undertaken
as a part of the State Highway System and have indicated their willingness and
ability to enter into preliminaries leading to the ultimate development of such
a facility; and
L WRIZZAS, an analysis of the request and the Transportation-Plan indicetes that •
such a facility would be a desirable part of the State Highway System;.

present location of U. S. Highways 82 and 287 Northerly to State Highway
240 at or near Edison Street, a distance of approximately 1.1 miles, as
a part of the State Highway System, participate in the purchase of right
of way and provide for its ultimate construction, all in accordance with
the existing laws and policies of the Texas Highway Department.

Provided the City will:
i 1. Participate in the purchase of right of way and such items of construction
1 required by Departmental policy for municipal projects.
This action is taken in the interest of advance planning with the understanding
that State funds are not now available for the purchase of right of way and con-
struction. It is understood that the work will be undertaken by increments as
funds become available for allocation in future programs of work.
I-; Upon acceptance of the provisions of this Order by the appropriate officials

of the City of Wichita Falls, the State Highway Engineer is directed to proceed
i with Engineering Surveys to establish the location and determine Right of Way
requirements.
This Order shall become operative upon acceptance by the City of Wichita Falls
and if not accepted within 90 days of the date hereof, the action herein con-
tained shall be automatically cancelled.
