WHEREAS, the Corp. of Engineers plan for control of natural pollution on
the Wichita River has now been authorized and The President is recommending
150,000 for planning on Phase I of this project for Fiscal year 1968; and,
WHEREAS, The President is recommending $1,000,000 for experimental work
on the final designs and specificazions on this total project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls, and Water ::_strict 2 believe that the control
of salt in Lake Kemp, The Wichita and Red Rivers will be of great benefit to
the ity hita Fas, Texas irrigation District 2, and all the surrounding
area and tnerefore request the Red River Valley Association to support this
proect and The President's budget 17equests.
