WHEREAS, heretofore the Board of Aldermen has authorized
the City Manager to execute contracts for the purchase of land
necessary for Lake Arrowhead; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has made contracts with the
following owners to purchase the number of acres shown and for
the consideration shown (subject to adjustment in the event an
actual survey shows there is more or less acreage in each tract) ,
to-wit:
Edward Grinke, purchase of surface of 1.29 acres, flood
easement on 3.77 acres, and mineral damages to
148.73 acres, $2, 442.80.
0. C. Bailey, et al, purchase of surface of 1.7 acres
and mineral damages in 38. 57 acres, $539.03.
T. A. Schreiber, 17 . 52 acres, $3, 504.00, for surface
and damages to minerals and remainder.
A. R. Lindeman, 6.73 acres, $2, 174.90, for surface
and damages to minerals and improvements.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has made contracts with the
following owners for the payment of damages to minerals for
the consideration shown (subject to adjustment in the event
an actual survey shows there is more or less acreage in each
tract) , to-wit:
John W. Lovelace, et al, for damages to minerals under
205.26 acres, $3,078.90.
Herman Steindham, damages to minerals under 143.09 acres,
2, 159. 10.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
THAT the above contracts for the purchase of land at
Lake Arrowhead, and for the payment of damages to minerals,
be and the same are hereby ratified and confirmed.
