WHEREAS, City officials and interested citizens from
the Cities of Wichita Falls, El Paso, Lubbock and Oklahoma
City have decided to form the EPOC Interstate Committee,
the purpose, of which is to support and urge the immediate
designation and construction of an Interstate Highway link-
ing the H. E. Bailey Turnpike to the City of El Paso, Texas,
through Wichita Falls, Lubbock and Carlsbad, New Mexico.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls shall become a member of
the EPOC Interstate Committee, and shall cooperate with the
other members thereof in supporting and urging the designation
and construction of such Interstate Highway.
