WHEREAS, the Board of Managers of the Wichita General
Hospital has recommended a plan for the expansion of the
facilities of such hospital, and has requested assurance from
the City of Wichita Falls that the City will participate in
such plan; and,
WHEREAS, a study of the hospital facility needs for
the community has been authorized; and,
WHEREAS, the first phase of such program will cost
600, 000, and the Board of Managers desires to apply for
matching funds for one-half (1/2) of that amount, under
the Hill-Burton Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER-
MEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT in the event
such Hill-Burton funds are made available for the project, the
City of Wichita Falls will participate in this program to the
extent of its fair share thereof, and the Board of Aldermen
does hereby request the Board of Managers of such hospital to
make application for the matching funds under the Hill-Burton
Act.
