WHEREAS, on the 15th day of April, 1965, a Special
Commission sitting in the condemnation case of the City
of Wichita Falls vs . Glenn Halsell, et al, awarded the
Halsell heirs Four Hundred Thirteen Thousand, Seven Hun-
dred Twenty-Three and 91/100 Dollars ($413, 723.91) as
damages for the taking of certain land located in Clay
County, Texas, and;
WHEREAS, before the City of Wichita Falls can legally
take possession of the land to construct a dam and spill-
way for Lake Arrowhead, the award of the Special Commission
must be deposited in the County Court of Clay County subject
to order of the Halsell heirs, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen desires that the award
be appealed to the County Court of Clay County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER-
MEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS THAT the City Manager
cause the award of Four Hundred Thirteen Thousand, Seven
Hundred Twenty-Three and 91/100 Dollars ($413, 723.91) to
be deposited in the County Court of Clay County subject
to the order of the Halsell heirs, and that the award of
the Special Commission be appealed to the County Court of
Clay County, Texas.
