WHEREAS, the State of Texas, acting by and through
the State Highway Commission, has agreed to construct a boat
launching ramp and appurtenances on a certain tract of land
at Lake Arrowhead, said tract being two acres owned by the City
of Wichita Falls near the end of F.M. Road 2606, situated in the
WCRR Company Survey, Section 16 abstract 720, Clay County,,.
Texas; and,
WHEREAS, before the State can construct such launching
ramp, it is necessary for the City to execute a lease of said
tract of land for a term of twenty-five (25) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
That certain lease from the City of Wichita Falls to
the State of Texas covering the above described two acre tract
for a period of twenty-five (25) years, subject to renewal and
also subject to the other terms and conditions set out in said
lease, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute and deliver the same for the City of Wichita
Falls.
