WHEREAS , it is the belief of the Board of Aldermen
that the citizens of Wichita Falls derive benefits from the
beautification of the City, and in furtherance of this belief
the City has started a tree-planting program and has developed
a downtown park at Ninth and Ohio Streets ; and,
WHEREAS, Sav-Mor Furniture Company, owned by Fred Marks,
has developed a beautiful area at its location at Sixth and
Scott Streets ; 'a.nd,
WHEREAS, Sav-Mor Furniture Company has provided at its
own expense a scene which brings pleasure to our citizens and
travelers passing through our City, and also provides an
example that encourages other property owners to follow.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Sav-Mor. Furniture Company is hereby commended for its
beautification of its property, which was a forward step toward
improving the appearance of our City.
