WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held on this date
concerning the designation of a Community Action Agency in
this area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls hereby designates
the Community Action Corporation of Wichita Falls and North
Texas Area as the Community Action Agency to receive assistance
under Title II of the Economic Opportunity Act, as amended,
and to provide community action program anti-poverty benefits
for the residents of Wichita Falls .
SECTION 2 . The City Manager is authorized and directed
to execute such instruments as are necessary to effect this
designation and to notify the interested agencies and subdivisions
thereof.
