BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Those certain contracts for the sale of water to M.
O. Rife, Jr. and Bridwell Oil Company for water flooding oil
leases, copies of which are attached hereto, are hereby approved,
and the City Manager is authorized to execute such contracts
for the City of Wichita Falls .

called "City" , and Bridwell Oil Company, hereinafter called
bridwell" ,
W I T N E S S E T II:
In consideration of the mutual covenants herein con--
tained, City and Bridwell do hereby agree as follows :
City agrees to sell to Bridwell raw water from Lake
Arrowhead to be used for water flooding Bridwell ' s oil production
on the IIalsell lease in Lake Arrowhead basin. The maximum amount
of water to be sold under this contract shall be Fifty Thousand
50, 000) gallons per day.
It is agreed that Bridwell will pay to the City for
such water at the rate of five (5) cents per thousand (1, 000)
gallons, and such water shall be pumped from the lake at no
cost to the City.
Bridwell shall furnish and maintain at its expense at
the pumping site metering equipment of a standard type accept-
able to City.
City shall bill Bridwell monthly for the water. . used during
the previous month, and Bridwell shall pay for such water within
thirty (30) days after the data of such bill.
This contract shall extend for a period of fifteen (l 5)
years, or as long as oil is produced in paying quantities frcm
such IIalsc1..l. lease, 'whichever is shorter .
It is understood that the rate paid for water under this
contract shall be subject to change at such times as the wat_•

At any time of drought, or other time when there is in-
sufficient supply of water for municipal purposes, City reserves
the right to curtail the amount of water to be sold to Bridwell
hereunder; provided, however, that such amount shall not be
reduced below Twenty-Five Thousand (25, 000) gallons per day
without City' s first giving Bridwell two months notice so that
Bridwell can develop a new source of water supply.
