ORDINANCE NO. 2474
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY
ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH-
EASTERN TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH LANDS ARE DESCRIBED
IN THIS ORDINANCE (LAKE ARROWHEAD AND CONTIGUOUS
PUBLIC PROPERTY AND THE RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE
WATER TRANSMISSION LINE) .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS :
SECTION 1. That the following tracts of land located
in Clay and Archer Counties, Texas, be and the same are hereby
ordered to be annexed and to be included within the corporate
limits of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the corporate
limits be extended so as to include said tracts of land in
Clay and Archer Counties, Texas, the same being particularly
described in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporat-
ed herein as part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 2 . Before these annexation proceedings were
instituted, a public hearing was held to provide an opportunity
for all interested persons to be heard.
SECTION 3. In conformity with Section 3-A of the
amended Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this
Ordinance is on the 21st day of January, 1969, introduced and
the City Clerk is directed to publish said Ordinance one time
in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of
Wichita Falls, and seven days thereafter this Ordinance may be
finally acted upon.
This Ordinance having been introduced on the 21st day
of January, 1969, and having been published in a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to-wit,

The Wichita Falls Record News, one time on the 25th day
of January, 1969, and seven days after such publication
having elapsed, this Ordinance is finally passed and approved
