AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF SECOND
STREET LYI.NG BETWEEN BROOK AVENUE AND US-287 EXPRESSWAY
BETWEEN LOTS 1-6 OF BLOCK 2 AND LOTS 11-14 OF BLOCK 1
OF THE BLAKELY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS.
WHEREAS, on May 25th, 1964, the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, adopted Ordinance No. 2091, which closed and abandoned
the hereinafter described portion of Second Street, after finding it in the
public interest to do so; and,

WHEREAS-, the description contained in said ordinance was ambiguous,
and it is deemed advisable to adopt this ordinance in order to clarify the
intention of the Board of Aldermen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That portion of Second Street being approximately 291.5
- feet wide, lying between Brook Avenue and US-287 Expressway, running east
and west between Lots 1-6 of Block 2 and Lots 11-14 of Block 1 of the
Blakely Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, be and same is hereby closed
and abandoned.
