AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
SECOND STREET LYING BETWEEN BROOK AVENUE AND
U. S. 287 EXPRESSWAY BETWEEN LOTS 1-6 OF BLOCK 2,
AND LOTS 11-14 OF BLOCK 1 OF THE BLAKELY ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, on January 21, 1969, the Board of Aldermen
of the City of Wichita Falls adopted Ordinance No. 2475, but
there were certain defects in the wording of such ordinance,
and it is deemed advisable to correct such ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, deems it advisable and in the public interest
to close and abandon that portion of Second Street hereinafter
described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS :
SECTION 1. That part of Second Street, being approxi-
mately 260 feet in length along its center line, between Brook
Avenue and the U. S. 287 Expressway, running east and west
between lots 1-6 of Block 2 and lots 11-14 of Block 1 of the
Blakely Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, be and the
same is hereby closed and abandoned.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 4TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1969.
