ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON NINETEEN (.19) LEAVEOUT
LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS DESIGNATED
IN ORDINANCES NO. 2408, NO. 2423 AND NO. 2458; DECLARING
THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS FULLY COMPLETED AND
PERFORMED; DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE, EXECUTION AND DELIVERY
OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED
AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS HEREIN AUTHORIZED
AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF SAID ASSESSMENTS; DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY
COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME IN THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE
BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
AND BY FILING THE COMPLETE ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE ORDI-
NANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has heretofore entered
into a contract with Gifford-Hill Incorporated, Wichita Falls, Texas, for
the making and construction of certain street improvements on the herein-
after described portions of streets, avenues, and public places in said City,
to-wit:
1519-11th Lot 11, Block 254, Curtis & James Subdivision of
Original Townsite
1909-6th Lot 10, Block 2, Truehart Subdivision
1915-6th Lot 13, Block 2, Truehart Subdivision
1922-6th Lot 18, Block 2, Truehart Subdivision
2405-- Lot 17, & 18 Less N.W. 15' Tri. , Block A, Carter
Holliday Addition
1425-24th Lot 13, Block A, Carter Addition
2317-Yale S. 51 feet of a 93.3' x 140' tract of land out of
the N.W. 1/4 of the J. A. Scott Survey No. 10 Abs.
302 and recorded in Volume 383, page 635 Wichita
County, Deed Records.

WHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, including Ordinances No. 2436
and No. 2472, a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and
assessed against the respective properties abutting on each of the above
described portions of streets, avenues and public places and against the
real and true owners thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
has upon review, found and determined that, in some instances, in order to
effect substantial justice and equality, it is desirable and necessary to
grant and issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments
levied by Ordinances No. 2436 and No. 2472 and,
WHEREAS, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been
completed upon each of the portions of streets, avenues, and public places
hereinabove described, and have been inspected and found to be in complete
accordance with the contract therefor:
NOW, THEREFOR,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues, and
public places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and
the contract with reference thereto be, and it is hereby, found and declared
fully completed and performed.
II.
The assessments as levied by Ordinances No. 2436 and No. 2472 shall
be computed for each property owner and the same together with the Engineer's
Roll on the nineteen (19) leaveout locations herein accepted shall be delivered
to the Tax-Assessor-Collector, and he shall prepare statements which shall be
sent to the propery owners.
III.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to engross and enroll this
Ordinance by copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and by filing the complete
ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City.
IV.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
