AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT STREET WHICH IS
NORTH OF, PARALLEL TO, AND ADJOINING THE FORT WORTH AND
DENVER RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY AND WHICH EXTENDS FROM EAST
SCOTT STREET TO ORIOLE STREET, A STREET WITHIN THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, TO PEACH STREET; AND REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, has recommended that the Board of Aldermen change the name of
the street which is north of, parallel to, and adjoining the Fort
Worth and Denver Railroad right-of-way and which extends from East
Scott Street to Oriole Street, a street within the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls
believes that it is in the best interest of said City that such name
change be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The name of that portion of the street which is
north of, parallel to, and adjoining the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad
right-of-way and which extends from East Scott Street to Oriole Street,
shall be changed to Peach Street.
SECTION 2. All ordinances, or portions thereof, in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
