AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH (d) OF SECTION 29-114
OF THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OR ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING PARKING
RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGHWAYS, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (d) of Section 29-114 of the Traffic
Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls, is
hereby amended by adding to the schedule in such Section the following:
Hours Parking
Street Extent Side Prohibited
" Lamar. 8th to 9th Street West 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm "
SECTION 2. The fact that many people live within the City of
Wichita Falls and that there is an urgent need for protection of its
citizens and their property upon the City's roads and streets, this
ordinance is declared an emergency measure on the grounds of urgent
public need for the orderly flow of traffic upon its roads and streets
and a public need for the preservation of the peace, health, and safety
of the property of the City. This ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage.
