AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A 55 FOOT X 1000 FOOT
SEGMENT OF BRIDWELL STREET IN THE MCGREGOR AND COUPER SUBDIVISION
AND RESERVING A UTILITY EASEMENT AND ACCESS RIGHTS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita. Falls, Texas,
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close a portion of
Bridwell Street hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. That the 55 foot wide by 1000 foot long section
of Bridwell Street which is described as follows:
Beginning at a point 30 feet North of the Southwest corner
of Block Seven (7) of the J. A. Scott survey number nine (9)
Abstract Number 305; Thence North along the West line of
Block Seven (7) 1000 feet to a point; Thence East 55 feet

to a point; Thence South and parallel to the. West
line of Block Seven (7) 1000 feet to a point; Thence West
55 feet to the place of beginning;
be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby reserves an
easement in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining all
kind and character of utility lines including water, gas, electric,
telephone and power lines, sanitary and storm sewers and drainage ditches;
no structures, including fences, shall be built on said easements.
