Ord 2527 8/19/1969 ORDINANCE NO. 2527
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING A CERTAIN EASEMENT
RESERVED IN ORDINANCE NO. 2505, WHICH CLOSED
A SECTION OF BRIDWELL STREET.
Whereas, on June 17 , 1969, the Board of Aldermen adopted
Ordinance No. 2505, closing a certain section of Bridwell Street; in
Section 2 , the City reserved an easement for utility lines, and
provided that no structures, including fences, shall be built on
said easement; and,
Whereas, on June 20, 1969, the Wichita County 4-H Livestock
Association filed a replat of Block A, McGregor-Couper Subdivision,
which was recorded in Volume 14, Pages 45 and 46 of the Plat Records
of Wichita County, Texas, on which certain easements were dedicated
to the public; and,
Whereas, the easements shown on said replat are sufficient,
and the easement reserved in said Ordinance No. 2505 is not needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The easement and the restrictions contained in Section 2
of Ordinance No. 2505 are hereby released, abandoned, and vacated;
however, this release shall have no effect on the easements contained
in the replat recorded in Volume 14, Pages 45 and 46 of the Plat
Records of Wichita County, which easements shall remain in full force
and effect.
