WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has heretofore
advertised for bids for the construction of the Fort Worth and
Denver Railway Company relocation, in connection with the Kell
Freeway Project; and,
WHEREAS, seven bids were received, and the lowest and
best bid was the alternate bid of Gilvin-Terrill Construction Co. ,
Inc. , of Amarillo, Texas, in the amount of One Million Four Hundred
Eighty-one Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-four and 20/100 ($1,481, 744.20)
Dollars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The alternate bid of Gilvin-Terrill Construction Co. , Inc.
in the amount of $1,481, 744.20 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager
is authorized to execute a contract for the construction of such pro-
ject.
