WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls , as owner, and Amis
Construction Company, as contractor, entered into a contract dated
April 21 , 1970, wherein said Contractor agreed to construct Project No.
52-079, Hampstead-Taft Drainage and Project No. 52-080, Kell Freeway
Outfall Drainage Systems of the 1967 Capital Improvements Program; and
WHEREAS, these Projects have been completed in accordance with
the plans and specifications ; and,
WHEREAS, a final estimate has been furnished on such Project ,
which shows the total amount of work done as $734,142.35, all of which
has been paid to said Contractors except the sum of $104,778.88, which
is the balance now due on said contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of such Projects by said Contractor is accep-
ted by the City of Wichita Falls, the final estimate is approved, and the
City Manager is directed to pay to said Contractor the balance due as shown
on such estimate.
