BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The provisions of Minute No. 64019, passed by the Texas
Highway Commission on July 9, 1970, are acceptable to the City of
Wichita Falls . It is hereby ordered that the City of Wichita
Falls co-operate with the State Highway Department and proceed
with the obligations so stipulated in said Minute Order as
being responsibilities of the City.

tt'I1EREAS, it has been detcrnined that such work is eligible for participationinthefederalTWIGSProgram;
1O1, TVEREFORE, the State Highway Engineer is directed to tender the following
proposal to the City of Wichita Palls for the development of such n project:
Provided the City will:
1. Adopt and enforce such ordinances and regulations as ray be necessaryforproperoperationoftheinstallation.
2. Agree that the additional computer core storage to be provided shall beV
reserved for the exclusive use of controlling traffic stigna ll_zat i oil.
3. Maintain all of the work constructed as :a part of the project and agree
to regulate traffic and prevent encroach merit on the right of way.

Upon acceptance of the provisions of this Order by the appropriate officials oftheCityofir•y WichitaWi1 i.alls, IT 13 oaDElzu) that Brook Avenue, extending from presentU. S. Ilighays 82 and 277 (Fifth Street), South to Kell. Boulevard, a distance ofapproximately"1.l riles, and Ninth Street, extending from present U. S. Highways82and277, East to Brook Avenue, a distance of approxin tely 2.0 miles, be andareherebydesignatedas :1.'OPIr,s STZ•,;LT and the State Highway Engineer is di-
rected to enter into agreement with the City of Hic hita Falls covering the details
of the proposed imrrove_cents on Brook Avenue bet:ucen Fifth Street and EleventhStreet, and on Ninth Street between Brook Avenue and Van Buren Street. Upon exe-cution of such an agreement, the State Highway Engineer is directed to proceed
with the engineering development of the project and after the City has fulfilleditsresponsibilities, proceed with Construction as authorized herein in the mostfeasibleandeconomicalmanner, financing the cost in the Federal TOPICS Program.
It is understood that the Cit:y nay discharge its construction obligations outlinedhereininanymannerastheynayelect. In the event the City des:trot.; theStatetoincludetheirportionoftheworkintheState's construction contract,
the State Highway Engineer in hereby authorized to enter into agi;ee%_ent with theCityforsuchworkanditscostasmaybeagreedupon.
