RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS OF THE MUNI-
CIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ON NOVEMBER 7, 1972 , FOR THE
PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER RESOLUTION
NUMBER 1338, PROVIDING FOR CONTROLLED FLUORI-
DATION OF THE CITY' S WATER, SHALL BE ADOPTED,
AND DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen
of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, held in the Memorial
Auditorium building on the 21st day of November, 1972, at
which time a quorum was present, came on to be considered
the returns of the municipal election held on the 7th day
of November, 1972 for the purpose of determining whether or
not Resolution No. 1338, which provides for a program of con-
trolled fluoridation of the city water supply by which the
fluoride content shall be 1.0 part per million, shall be
adopted.
WHEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election,
it was found to be duly and legally held in all respects, and
there were cast at said electiora votes on such referen-
dum; and that votes were cast as follows:
For Resolution No. 1338 4(ZZ votes
Against Resolution No. 1338 gifY votes
And, it appearing that the greatest number of votes at said
referendum election were for Resolution No. 1338.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said Resolution No. 1338 was duly and legally approved and
adopted, and that said election was in all respects legally held
in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the charter
and ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 21ST DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1972 .
