WHEREAS , the City of Wichita Falls has concluded a highly
successful demonstration project in cooperation with the Office of
Solid Waste Management of the Environmental Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS , it is desired by both the City of Wichita Falls and
the Office of Solid Waste Management that further accomplishments be
achieved for the benefit of the City of Wichita Falls and other munici -
palities in the United States ; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has submitted an application
at the request of the Office of Solid Waste Management ; and,
WHEREAS , said application has been approved by the appropriate
authorities in the Office of Solid Waste Management,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
SECTION 1 . Gerald G. Fox, City Manager, is authorized and
directed to execute the necessary documents requested to carry out and
complete such project on behalf of the City; further, any and all documents
heretofore signed on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls by Gerald G. Fox,
City Manager, are hereby ratified and confirmed.
SECTION 2. Gerald G. Fox, City Manager, is authorized to enter
into a contract with Pinnell -Anderson-Wilshire and Associates , consultants
for necessary consultant services as required by the terms and conditions
of the project. Services to be rendered and fees to be paid shall be in
conformity with the provisions of the grant agreement.
SECTION 3. With regard to this grant , the City shall follow
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as required by provisions of the
Offer and Acceptance Document .
