Res 1320 7/18/1972RESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS, the City staff, with the assistance of Architect Joe B. Roberts, has prepared a proposed plan for an expansion of the terminal building at Municipal Airport, which would con- sist of the construction of an enclosed office and air freight storage space in the area between the terminal building and the General Aviation Administration Building, and the Cost of such project is estimated to be $70, 000.00, including archi- tectural fees and contingencies, which would be paid for by the issuance of time warrants; and, WHEREAS, the Aviation Advisory Board, at its meeting on May 17, 1972, expressed the consensus that the City should pro- ceed immediately with the proposed terminal expansion since the project would generate its own revenues. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The proposed terminal construction project is hereby approved, and the City staff is authorized and directed to proceed with plans for the same. SECTION 2 . The City Manager is authorized to execute for the City of Wichita Falls a contract for architectural services of Joe B. Roberts on said project which provides for the payment for the architect' s basic services in an amount equal to 6% of the construction cost. SECTION 3. The City Manager is authorized to execute for the City of Wichita Falls a contract for the professional services of First Southwest Company with regard to the issuance of the time warrants, for a fee of $4,000.00.
