Res 1258 1/18/1972RESOLUTION NO. /p25/
WHEREAS, heretofore the City of Wichita Falls and the
town of Lakeside City entered into a contract dated April 13, 1970
providing for the sale of treated water by Wichita Falls to Lakeside
City; and,
WHEREAS, Section 3 of such contract provided that, unless
water is taken within two years from the date thereof, the contract
shall be void; and,
WHEREAS, Lakeside City has experienced many delays in
their efforts to complete their water system, and have requested an
extension of six (6) months in such deadline.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT :
The period of time within which Lakeside City is required
to take water in order to prevent voidance of such contract under
Section 3 thereof is hereby extended for a period of six (6) months,
and the City Manager is authorized to execute any document necessary
to evidence this extension of time.
