RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE ELECTION ON MINIMUM PAY FOR
FIREMEN, ON THE BASIS OF THE RECOUNT.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1459, the Board of Aldermen
ordered a full recount of all votes cast on the following
proposition, at the election held on August 28, 1973, to-wit:
The proposed minimum salary of $620 per month
for the Firemen" ,
and appointed Mrs. Raymond Sims, Mrs. G. Donald Larson and
Mrs. James Strain as the Recount Committee; and,
WHEREAS, such Committee completed the recount, and delivered
their report to the Mayor on September 17 , 1973; and,
WHEREAS, after considering the report of the Recount
Committee, the Board of Aldermen finds that, according to such
report, 7c,299 votes were cast on such proposition at such
election, and that said votes were cast as follows:
For the proposed minimum salary of $620 per month

Against the proposed minimum salary of $620 per
month for Firemen. A;2r,/ votes
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed minimum salary of $620 per month for Firemen
was duly and legally disapproved at said election.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 18TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1973.
