Res 1652 4/7/1975RESOLUTION NO. /w., RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ON APRIL 1, 1975, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING ALDERMEN FOR POSITIONS NO. 1, NO. 2 AND NO. 3. WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, held in the Memorial Auditor- ium Building on the 7th day of April, 1975, at which time a quorum was present, came on to be considered the returns of the municipal election held on the 1st day of April, 1975, for the purpose of electing Aldermen for Positions No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 ; and, WHEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election, it was found to be duly and legally eld in all respects, and6therewerecastatsaidelectionMlvotesfortheelec- tion of three Aldermen; and that FOR ALDERMAN, POSITION 1: Robert M. (Bob) Cameron received jg votes Mike Allen received 2Fere votes Gene A. Buchanan received votes Ron L. Rosignol received Aj,' votes Hardy McAlister received votes Write-in votes FOR ALDERMAN, POSITION 2 : James Esther, Jr. received votes Guillermo (Bill) Garcia received Aor votes Karl G. King received votes James Williams received votes Write-in votes FOR ALDERMAN, POSITION 3 : Earl (Denny) Hess received i votes Roy Parish received J,W,' votes Bill E. Gowan received Jl1T votes Edgar E. Shockley, Jr. received y votes Louis Esquibel received votes Write-in votes AND, it appearing that Hardy McAlister received the greatest number of votes at said election for Alderman, Position 1; that Guillermo (Bill) Garcia received the greatest number of votes cast at said election for Alderman, Position 2; and that Bill E. Gowan received the greatest number of votes cast at said election for Alderman, Position 3. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT Hardy McAlister, Guillermo Bill) Garcia and Bill E. Gowan were duly and legally elected Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, at said election, and that said election was in all respects legally held in accord- ance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and Ordi- nances of the City of Wichita Falls.
