RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT OUR TEXAS
LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION INTRODUCE LEG-
ISLATION AUTHORIZING PUBLIC SAFETY
OFFICER.
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Board of Aldermen
of the City of Wichita Falls that it would be to the benefit
of the citizens of the City if the position of Public Safety
Officer, who would be qualified to perform both law enforce-
ment and firefighting duties, were authorized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER-
MEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS , THAT:
Our Texas Legislative delegation is hereby requested
to introduce a bill in the Texas Legislature that would auth-
orize the establishment of the Public Safety Officer class-
ification as an amendment to Article 1269m of the Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas.
