Res 1616 2/4/1975 RESOLUTION NO. f�. 1/( RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE CITY-COUNTY HEALTH CENTER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS STATE DEPART- MENT OF HEALTH FOR A SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls City-County Health Center is qualified to participate in the U. S. Department of Agri- culture Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) as an adjunct to its Maternity and Well Child Conference program services; the basic purpose of this pro- gram is to assist in the prevention and treatment of nutri- tional deficiencies in pregnant and lactating women, infants (up to one year) and children (up to four years) from low income families. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER- MEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The contract, a copy of which is attached hereto, pro- viding for such program from January lst, 1975 through June 30th, 1975 is approved, and the Director of the Wichita Falls City- County Health Center is authorized to execute such contract with the Texas State Department of Health.
