AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF JACKSBORO HIGHWAY FROM
EAST SCOTT STREET TO THE U. S. 281 EXPRESSWAY, A STREET
WITHIN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TO OLD JACKSBORO
HIGHWAY.
WHEREAS, The Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
has recommended that the Board of Aldermen change the name of Jacksboro
Highway from East Scott to the U. S. 281 Expressway to Old Jacksboro
Highway, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls believes
that it is in the best interest of said City that such name change should
be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The name of Jacksboro Highway, as it extends from
East Scott Street on the north to the U. S. 281 Expressway on the south,
shall be changed to Old Jacksboro Highway.
Section 2. All ordinances, or portions thereof, in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
