Ord 2551 11/4/1969 ORDINANCE NO. 5--J ORDINANCE REVISING CERTAIN PROTECTIVE INSPECTIOi1 FEES FOR BUILDING PERMITS , PLUMBING PERMITS , , SIGN PERMITS , PUMPS AND TANKS , EXCAVATION PERMITS , HOUSE MOVING PERMITS AND ELECTRICAL PERMITS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT: SECTION 1. Section 7-14 (3) (B) (I) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows : " (I) Permit fees for construction, alteration and repair of buildings and structures shall be as follows: Up to $200 value $1. 50 From $200 value to $1, 000 value $3.00 From $1, 000 value to $100, 000 value $2 .00 for each $1, 000 value All over $100, 000 value $1. 00 for each $1, 000 value" SECTION 2 . Section 7-15 (3) (B) (II) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows : " (II) Permit fee for the moving of any building or structure over ten (10) feet wide or over twelve (12) feet long shall be thirty-five dollars ($35 .00) for each building or fraction thereof; this fee shall include the cost of police escort and traffic engineering. " SECTION 3 . Section 7-15 (3) (B) (IV) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows : " (IV) Permit fee for the erection of signs requiring permit shall be five dollars ($5 .00) for each billboard or wood sign, and ten dollars ($10 .00) for each electric sign. " SECTION 4. Section 14-71 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by adding thereto a new paragraph (F) , which shall read as follows : " (F) A fee for general inspection shall be three dollars ($3. 00) . " SECTION 5 . Section 23-67 (c) of the Code of Ordi- nances is hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows : " (c) No person shall open any excavation on the streets , alleys , or other public property or cut any curb or pavement belonging to the City without first securing a per- mit therefor from the Chief Plumbing Inspector. Application - 2 - shall be made in the form prescribed by and to said Plumbing Inspector. The fee for such permit shall be five dollars ($5 .00) . " SECTION 6. Section 23-67 (d) of the Code of Ordi- nances is hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows : " (d) Where no sewer wye is found within three (3) feet of either side where shown on City sewer map, the City sewer crew shall make a suitable tap in the main line at a cost of twenty-five dollars ($25 .00) to plumbing contractor or owner of property affected." SECTION 7 . Section 23-70 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows: "Any person granted a plumbing permit shall pay to the City for each permit and inspection a fee in the amount specified herein. All permit and inspection fees shall be paid when the permit is issued. For specific permits each plumbing permit fee shall be calculated from and shall be based upon the number of ' Plumb- ing Fixture Units ' to be placed in the work described in the application according to the following schedule: Water Closets $1.25 Bath tubs 1.25 Lavatories 1.25 Kitchen Sinks 1. 25 Pantry Sinks 1.25 Service Sinks 1. 25 Urinals 1.25 Showers 1. 25 Sand Traps 1.25 Grease Traps 2 .00 Condensate Drains 1. 25 Water heaters 1.25 Floor drains 1. 25 Disposals 1.25 Dishwasher 1. 25 Water Fountain 1.25 Bath heater 1.25 Washing Machine 1. 25 Trailer Trap 3.00 Disconnect 3 .00 Septic Tank 5.00 Sewer 3. 00 Gas Service Line 3 .00 Central system 3 .00 Floor and Wall Furnace 3 .00 Gas Dryer 3 . 00 Outside appliances 3.00 Boilers 5.00 Incinerator 5.00 Pump for Gasoline or other vol ati.l es 3 .00 Storage t ants for Gasoline or other vo.l at.i l es 3 . 00" - 3 - SECTION 8. Section 27-41 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows : " Before any permit shall be granted under the provisions of this article a fee of five dollars ($5 .00) shall be paid by the applicant to the Director of Public Works , for the use and benefit of the City, for each opening in any street, alley, sidewalk or other public place, irrespective of the length thereof.
