Ord 2581 4/13/1970 ORDINANCE NO. ; 3--17
AN ORDINANCE CHANCING THE NAME OF EASTSIDE DRIVE (SH-240)
FROM THE WICHITA' RIVER TO THE NORTH CITY LIMITS.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
has recommended that the Board of Aldermen change the name of Eastside Drive
(SH-240) from the Wichita River to the north city limits; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls
believes that it is in the best interest of said city that such name
change be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The name of that P ortion of Eastside Drive from
the Wichita River to its intersection with Burkburnett Road be changed to
Eastside Drive North.
SECTION 2. The name of that portion of Eastside Drive from its
intersection with Burkburnett Road northward to the north city limits be
changed to Burkburnett Road.
SECTION 3. All ordinances, or portions thereof, in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
