Res 1795 4/5/1976RESOLUTION NO. /79a RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS , ON APRIL 3, 1976, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING THE MAYOR AND ALDERMEN FOR POSITIONS NO. 4, NO. 5 AND NO. 6. WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, held in the Memorial Auditor- ium Building on the 5th day of April, 1976, at which time a quorum was present, came on to be considered the returns of the municipal election held on the 3rd day of April, 1976, for the purpose of electing the Mayor and Alderman for Positions No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6; and, WHEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election, it was found to be duly and legally held in all respects, and that q7//voters voted in said elections; and that FOR MAYOR: J. C. Boyd, Jr. received f7jfvotes Write-in votes 9 FOR ALDERMAN, POSITION NO. 4: Al Ridinger received if /votes Ray Ashbrook received 6W votes Write-in votes FOR ALDERMAN, POSITION NO. 5: E. D. (Rusty) Eggleston received JJM' votes W. E. (Dub) Ryle received 6/ftvotes Write-in votes Q FOR ALDERMAN, POSITION NO. 6: Jerry F. Mathis received 17,7 votes Roy W. Parish received /7 otes Mary Lynn Boyd received oi470 votes Write-in votes AND, it appearing that J. C. Boyd, Jr. received the greatest number of votes at said election for Mayor; that received the greatest number of votes at said election for Alderman, Position No. 4; that lay E &9 received the greatest number of votes cast at said election for Alderman, Position No. 5; and that i 't 4 j/ received the greatest number of votes cast at said election for. Alderman, Position No. 6. NOW, THEREFORE, BE RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: J. C.
