Ord 2627 11/17/1970 ORDINANCE NO. 6;1- '7 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29-91 OF THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS ESTABLISHING" MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN ZONES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 29-91 of the.Traffic Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended by deleting paragraph (s) which reads as follows: "(S) Hampstead Lane (1) 35 MPH From east property line of Hamilton Boulevard to a point i mile east of Hamilton Boulevard." SECTION 2. Section 29-91 of the. Traffic Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended by adding paragraph (AG) which shall read as follows: "(AG) Midwestern Parkway Westbound traffic: (1) 30 MPH From Old Jacksboro Highway west to Southmoor Lane (2) 40 MPH From Southmoor Lane west to Taft Boulevard Eastbound traffic: (1) 40 MPH From Taft Boulevard east to Lake Park Drive (2) 35 MPH From Lake Park Drive east to Southmoor Lane (3) 30 MPH From Southmoor Lane east to Old Jacksboro Highway" SECTION 3. The fact that many people live within the City of Wichita Falls and that there is an urgent need for protection of its citizens and their property upon the City's roads and streets, this ordinance is declared an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public need for the orderly flow of traffic upon its roads and streets and a public need for the preservation of the peace, health, and safety of property of the City.
